The main difference between a violin and a fiddle is how they are played rather than the instrument itself. The violin is typically used in classical music and played with a bow, while the fiddle is often used in folk, country, and bluegrass music and played with a more lively and rhythmic style. Both instruments are essentially the same, with the term "fiddle" often used to describe the instrument in a more informal or non-classical setting. Ultimately, the choice between violin or fiddle depends on the style of music you want to play. **
